Privacy Policy
Effective 20 May 2026
The short version
ReelReflect is a static website. We do not run a backend, we do not have a database, and we do not collect, store, or sell your personal information. Your IMDb ratings file never leaves your browser. We do use a privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics tool to count aggregate page views — see Analytics below.
What we don't collect
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No cookies. Neither ReelReflect nor its analytics set any cookie.
- No advertising, no ad pixels, no tag managers, no third-party ad trackers.
- No session replays. We do not record your clicks, scrolls, mouse movements, or keystrokes.
- No fingerprinting and no cross-site tracking.
- No newsletter list, no marketing emails.
Analytics
ReelReflect uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site and which pages they land on. We chose it specifically because it is privacy-preserving: it sets no cookies, uses no client-side state, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites.
When a page loads, a small script (beacon.min.js, served from static.cloudflareinsights.com) sends Cloudflare a single anonymous measurement: the page URL, referrer, and standard request metadata such as a coarse country, browser, and device type. It is not tied to a profile of you and cannot identify you personally.
Your IMDb ratings file is never part of this. The analytics beacon only ever sees that a page was viewed. It has no access to the CSV you upload, the parsed results, or anything computed in the dashboard — all of that stays in your browser exactly as described above. For details, see Cloudflare's Web Analytics page and their privacy policy.
What stays in your browser
When you upload an IMDb "Your Ratings" CSV, the file is parsed entirely in your browser using JavaScript that runs on your device. The contents of that file are not uploaded to any server. The parsed results live in memory for the duration of the tab and are discarded when you close or reload it.
ReelReflect uses your browser's localStorage to remember small interface preferences — for example, which dashboard sections you collapsed. These values stay on your device, never leave it, and can be cleared at any time from your browser's site-data settings.
Third parties we connect to
To load the site, your browser makes requests to a small number of third-party services. We do not control these services and we encourage you to read their respective privacy policies if their practices matter to you.
- Your static host. The provider that serves the ReelReflect HTML, CSS, and JavaScript may log standard request data (IP address, user agent, request path) as part of normal hosting operations.
- cdnjs (Cloudflare). The PapaParse, Chart.js, and Font Awesome libraries are loaded from
cdnjs.cloudflare.comwith Subresource Integrity hashes. - Cloudflare Web Analytics. A page-view beacon is loaded from
static.cloudflareinsights.comand reports an anonymous measurement tocloudflareinsights.com. See Analytics above. - Google Fonts. Display typefaces are fetched from
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com.
If you follow an outbound link to Ko-fi, voidstarlabs.gg, or any other external site, you leave ReelReflect and that site's own privacy policy applies.
Children
ReelReflect is not directed at children under 13. Because the site does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children either.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site works ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the effective date above. The current version is always the one published at this URL.
